Developer · Neuroscience MSc · Psycholinguistics Enthusiast

I'm Sajjad, the creator of lexprep. With a background in neuroscience and a passion for psycholinguistics. lexprep started as a tool I needed in my own work with controlled wordlists for reading-related studies. My goal is to provide researchers with user-friendly software that simplifies the process of preparing and analyzing linguistic data.

💡 Motivation

The motivation behind lexprep stems from the challenges researchers face when preparing linguistic data for experiments and analyses. Many studies require carefully controlled wordlists with specific linguistic annotations,

The goal of lexprep is to provide researchers with the tools they need without requiring extensive programming knowledge.

🎯 Vision

The long-term vision for lexprep is to become the go-to toolkit for wordlist processing across many languages. The project aims to:

  • Support more languages
  • Provide accurate, research-grade linguistic annotations
  • Maintain a simple, consistent interface across all languages
  • Stay open source and freely available to researchers worldwide
  • Build a community of contributors from linguistics and NLP
